Senior Stress Testing Analyst

• Design, lead, and deliver Monzo's stress testing framework across the full lifecycle from methodology design and scenario development through to model execution and results interpretation. • Support delivery of all key stress testing activities including ICAAP, Recovery Planning, Reverse Stress Tests, and ad-hoc exercises. • Present stress testing results and analysis to senior stakeholders including Finance leadership, Risk leadership, and governance committees. • Act as a key cross-functional point of contact, ensuring teams understand methodologies, assumptions, outputs, and business implications. • Build strong relationships across FP&A, Treasury, Borrowing, Credit Risk, Data, and Product to facilitate smooth data flows. • Produce high-quality written materials including memos, committee papers, and technical documentation for senior and diverse audiences. • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and better controls across stress testing and financial risk.

• Have experience working in financial risk, credit risk, prudential regulation, finance, analytics, or another analytically focused financial services role. • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and enjoy working with models, scenarios, and financial data. • Be confident presenting complex technical analysis to senior stakeholders and influencing outcomes with clarity and structure. • Have an understanding of financial statements, capital metrics, and risk drivers within a bank. • Have experience navigating cross-functional environments and building trusted relationships across levels and disciplines. • Be able to translate complex information into simple, compelling messages for both technical and non-technical audiences. • Be comfortable working independently, managing shifting priorities, and taking ownership for the quality of your work.

• Have SQL or coding experience for data-driven analysis and automation. • Have direct experience with ICAAP, Recovery Planning, or Reverse Stress Test delivery. • Have experience building or improving stress testing governance frameworks and processes. • Have experience working in a regulated UK bank or financial institution.

• Support and lead delivery of ICAAP, Recovery Planning, Reverse Stress Tests, and ad-hoc stress testing exercises. • Run models, undertake detailed analysis, and interpret results to ensure outputs are robust, accurate, and insightful. • Present results and complex analysis clearly to exec-level and senior governance audiences. • Design and enhance stress testing methodologies including data processes, scenario translation, and model parameterisation. • Improve stress testing processes to ensure they are scalable, controlled, and repeatable. • Build and maintain cross-functional relationships to support smooth data flows and shared understanding. • Develop tools, models, and templates used across stress testing and financial risk functions.
