Senior Investigator / Operations Analyst, Financial Crime (Multilingual)

• Join a talent pool of Senior Financial Crime Investigators and Financial Crime Operations Analysts supporting future growth across Monzo's Financial Crime Operations function. • Investigate complex, high-risk financial crime cases, alerts, and customer activities across business accounts. • Act as a subject matter expert, providing financial crime guidance and support to operational teams across the business. • Fluency in English and at least one additional European language is required. • Fully remote within the UK; shifts cover 7am–6.30pm including 1 in 4 weekends.

• Fluent in English and confident communicating in at least one additional European language. • Experience investigating financial crime, AML, onboarding, due diligence, or other complex risk-related cases. • Comfortable making well-reasoned decisions in complex or high-risk situations using a risk-based approach. • Able to analyse information from multiple sources, identify key risks, and communicate findings clearly. • Enjoys improving processes, solving operational challenges, and helping teams work more effectively. • Confident collaborating across functions and influencing positive outcomes through strong stakeholder management. • Cares deeply about delivering excellent customer outcomes while maintaining high compliance standards.

• Fluency in more than one additional European language beyond English. • Experience preparing or recommending Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs). • Background in fintech or digital banking financial crime operations.

• Investigate complex, high-risk financial crime cases, alerts, and customer activities across business accounts. • Make informed risk-based decisions on customer onboarding, due diligence reviews, and ongoing account monitoring. • Identify suspicious activity and recommend appropriate escalation, including Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) where required. • Act as a subject matter expert, providing financial crime guidance to operational teams across the business. • Partner with product, risk, learning, quality, and operational teams to improve processes, controls, and customer outcomes. • Drive operational excellence by identifying opportunities to improve tools, guidance, and ways of working. • Support operational readiness, change delivery, quality improvements, training initiatives, and complex escalations.
