Frequently asked questions
Have more questions? Get in touch with Frederic, Founder of RemoteCorgi.
- Are these job posts full-time or contract-based?
- All our job posts on RemoteCorgi job board are permanent positions and not contract-based. We believe in matching top talents with top companies long term and that is why we do not list contract positions, as it is not fair towards job seekers looking for stability and long-term growth.
- Is job experience always required for these jobs?
- Not always. Generally speaking, remote job opportunities do often require some level of prior job experience, as companies often want top candidates, who are have proven to be comfortable with taking on responsibility and working independently. Yet, there are some companies that do not require much experience. In case you would like to find such posts, head over to "Experience Level" and filter for "New Grad".
- Am I still required to live permanently in the UK for such remote jobs UK?
- Out of compliance, payroll and time zone reasons, many UK companies require their employees to be based in the UK as well. There are however exceptions, especially in the start-up realm. As some companies are open and have experience for talents outside the UK, make sure to ask about the right-to-work rules in the job interview.
- Can I work from abroad with a UK remote job?
- Many UK companies have clear policies on working from abroad. Generally speaking, in most remote companies, employees are allowed to work abroad for short periods. In some companies, it is a couple of weeks, in others, up to 6 months. Ensure you ask about the company's policy in your job interview to avoid any future misunderstandings.
