Software Development Engineer II, 3D Graphics

• Work on the world's leading vector map rendering engines, covering the entire graphics chain from data processing pipelines to rendering. • Write and maintain a modern C++14/17 and TypeScript codebase using software engineering best practices. • Solve challenging graphics programming, algorithms, and architectural problems in the geo and data visualisation space. • Experiment with new visualisation techniques and fast graphics and geometry algorithms that reach millions of people in consumer mapping applications. • Improve project performance, stability, maintainability, and simplicity across state-of-the-art open-source platforms. • Thoughtfully integrate AI into design, development, and engineering decision-making workflows.

• Be strong in C++, JavaScript/TypeScript, algorithms, and performance optimisation. • Be strong in graphics programming using OpenGL, Metal, Vulkan, WebGL, or WebGPU. • Have strong knowledge of 3D graphics techniques and the ability to apply them across a wide range of platforms. • Bring curiosity, enthusiasm, and eagerness to solve challenging technical problems using emerging technologies. • Have strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams. • Bring empathy and kindness, with willingness to learn from different perspectives and help others grow.
