About the role

💼 What you will do

• Develop and optimise unsecured credit risk and pricing strategies across Personal Loans and Financial Health products. • Find patterns in data and translate them into actionable insights to support the design and roll-out of new lending strategies. • Monitor the performance of existing credit strategies and iterate to improve them. • Develop, maintain, and monitor credit models to assess the net present value of new lending cohorts. • Build and maintain database tables and dashboards that provide insights and promote rapid, data-driven decisions. • Assess how lending portfolios will perform over time and support the design of new products and customer journeys. • Work alongside engineering, marketing, product, risk, and control teams to design and deliver product changes.

📋 Job Requirements

• Have experience in unsecured retail lending such as personal loans, credit cards, overdrafts, or buy now pay later. • Have an understanding of how the unsecured retail lending market works including the impact of pricing dynamics on portfolio performance. • Have an understanding of lending economics and experience developing and deploying underwriting strategies. • Have strong analytical and data capabilities backed by technical coding skills — SQL is a must, Python and Looker are a plus. • Have a working understanding of the regulations that apply to lending in the UK. • Be a strong communicator, able to cut through complex problems and articulate decision points clearly. • Have some experience in project management and coordination across teams. • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be energised by shipping meaningful changes to customers.

• Have experience with Python for data analysis and modelling. • Have experience with Looker or similar BI and dashboarding tools. • Have experience developing credit models for NPV assessment or portfolio forecasting. • Have experience working in a fast-growth fintech or digital bank environment.

• Work on initiatives to improve credit underwriting, boost growth, and manage portfolio risk. • Design and roll out new lending strategies grounded in data analysis and insight. • Monitor existing strategy performance and iterate to improve outcomes. • Develop and maintain credit models to assess NPV of new lending cohorts. • Build and maintain database tables and dashboards for data-driven decision-making. • Support the design and roll-out of new products and customer journeys. • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, product, risk, and control teams.
