Staff Data Analyst, Operations

• Act as a force multiplier for Wise's Operations Analytics team — owning complex, ambiguous challenges end to end from identifying opportunities to architecting scalable data solutions. • Lead analytical roadmaps and strategic initiatives that align with Wise's long-term goals, cutting through ambiguity on critical projects and driving outcomes in leadership forums. • Act as a trusted partner to senior leadership, preparing and delivering high-level presentations and using data to build consensus and resolve conflicts. • Pioneer the development of efficient, high-performing SQL and lead the design of scalable data infrastructure using tools like dbt. • Mentor analysts, close gaps in technical and domain knowledge, and promote a culture of continuous learning and development. • Champion best practices in coding, data analysis, and system design across the entire analytics team.

• Have a proven ability to think strategically, connect analytical work to broader company objectives, and drive projects with impact across multiple teams or tribes. • Have a track record of leading large-scale, complex projects with a high degree of autonomy, including creating multi-quarter roadmaps. • Be an expert in SQL, data pipeline tools such as dbt, and data analysis — with the ability to design and architect scalable, future-proofed data solutions. • Have experience mentoring and developing analysts and fostering a culture of constructive feedback. • Be a compelling communicator who can build strong partnerships with senior stakeholders and drive consensus. • Bring a deep sense of ownership and proactivity — you identify opportunities and champion new tools and frameworks.

• Have experience working in operations analytics within a fintech or payments business. • Have experience designing multi-tribe or cross-functional data infrastructure at scale. • Have familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow. • Have experience presenting complex analytical work to C-suite or senior leadership audiences.

• Lead analytical roadmaps and strategic initiatives aligned to Wise's long-term Operations goals. • Own large, complex analytical projects from conception through to delivery. • Define project structures, align senior stakeholders, and navigate technical ambiguity at pace. • Design and architect scalable data infrastructure and workflows using dbt and SQL. • Establish and enforce best practices in coding, data analysis, and system design across the team. • Mentor analysts, identify skill gaps, and drive a culture of continuous learning. • Prepare and deliver high-level presentations to senior leadership and influence strategic decisions with data.
