Operations & Automation Associate

• Identify repeated work, spot failure modes, and turn messy processes into clear procedures and automations owned end to end. • Spend time close to the frontline — supporting members, understanding tickets and conversations — to build the context needed to improve systems from the inside. • Use AI and internal tools to automate work that is currently manual, moving it out of inboxes and into better workflows and tooling. • Diagnose broken processes, trace problems back to their root cause, and redesign how operations work as Nous scales. • Work with product, engineering, data, and experienced operators to improve member journeys and the systems that support them. • Help build the operating model that takes Nous from hundreds of thousands of households to millions.

• Have 2–5 years of experience in operations, consulting, product operations, customer operations, startups, or process improvement. • Have made extensive use of AI tools in your work, or be clearly on the path to doing so. • Learn new tools quickly and not be intimidated by technical systems, internal tooling, or messy operational data. • Have a forensic eye for detail and enjoy tracing problems back to their root cause. • Be able to turn ambiguous, messy work into clear processes, documentation, and repeatable systems. • Communicate crisply in writing and verbally — in Slack, in process docs, and when explaining workflows to colleagues. • Be naturally empathetic and understand why staying close to customers matters. • Take ownership without needing lots of structure and be motivated by making the team around you more effective.

• Have experience owning automations or operational workflows end to end. • Have experience working within a high-growth consumer startup or AI-native company. • Have familiarity with tools such as Zapier, Make, or similar workflow automation platforms. • Have experience writing clear operational procedures and process documentation.

• Support members directly on the frontline to build a deep understanding of where systems work and where they fall short. • Identify repeated manual work and design automations and workflows to eliminate it. • Turn messy operational problems into robust, repeatable, scalable systems. • Write clear operating procedures and process documentation. • Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to improve member-facing journeys and internal tooling. • Own automations end to end — from identifying the opportunity through to building, testing, and maintaining the solution.
