Junior Software Engineer

• Join Tripadvisor Experiences Engineering as a full-stack engineer, working mostly on the backend with some front-end projects on a daily release cycle. • Work closely alongside product managers and designers across the full software development process — from design and code through to test, deployment, and iteration. • Build and maintain systems that help operators grow their businesses and enable third parties to use Tripadvisor's inventory. • Work within a tech stack including Java, React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Kubernetes, SQL and NoSQL databases on AWS. • Release code to production regularly in a fast-moving, friendly engineering team based in Oxford.

• Have experience with a statically typed, object-oriented language such as Java, C#, or C++. • Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. • Be eager to learn and willing to pick up new technologies including front-end development on the job. • Be based in or able to work from Oxford, UK.

• Have exposure to React, TypeScript, or GraphQL. • Have familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS. • Have experience with SQL or NoSQL databases. • Have any personal or academic projects demonstrating full-stack or backend development.

• Build and ship backend and occasional front-end features as part of a cross-functional engineering squad. • Participate in software design, code review, testing, and deployment. • Release code to production regularly as part of a daily release cycle. • Contribute to systems supporting tripadvisorexperiences.com, Tripadvisor Experiences mobile apps, and their supporting infrastructure.
