Lead Product Designer

• Tackle the most complex and ambiguous design challenges at Monzo, turning complexity into elegant, scalable solutions that improve the customer experience. • Lead the creation of compelling product visions, principles, and direction that inspire teams to build toward a shared future. • Act as a role model in Design — sharing work broadly, mentoring others, and contributing to the growth of a 115+ person design team. • Use AI to level up parts of your design workflow, from ideation and analysis through to prototyping and shipping production code. • London hybrid or fully remote within the UK, with ad hoc meetings in London.

• Proven track record of delivering impactful, customer-centric native-app designs that solve complex problems and drive commercial outcomes. • Skilled at leading research, defining product visions, and aligning teams around a shared strategy. • Excels at creating modular, scalable solutions with a strong grasp of how to use design artefacts to communicate insights effectively. • Natural collaborator who can navigate multi-squad projects, align leadership, and drive clarity in ambiguous situations. • Passionate about improving design systems, processes, and ways of working to help teams deliver better outcomes at scale. • A role model who actively contributes to team growth through hiring, mentoring, and fostering a positive design culture.

• Experience using AI tooling within a design workflow — ideation, prototyping, or shipping production code. • Background contributing to or maintaining a large-scale design system. • Experience leading design across multiple squads or product areas simultaneously.
