Senior Product Analyst, FinCrime

• Partner with Wise's financial crime product teams to drive data-driven decisions that balance risk prevention with a smooth, frictionless customer experience. • Join the Screening team, building a robust control framework that screens customers, counterparties, and transactions across all Wise products. • Help prevent onboarding of sanctioned individuals, identify politically exposed persons, and detect adverse media risk — all while keeping the customer experience as invisible as possible. • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and operational teams to turn insights into real change for customers. • Part of a wider team of over 100 Analysts at Wise, with opportunities to contribute to cross-team projects and analytics improvement initiatives.

• Minimum 3 years of experience analysing data in a professional setting. • Strong quantitative background — ideally in statistics, mathematics, physics, engineering, analytics, computing, or a related scientific field. • Experience with SQL, Python or R, and building data pipelines; dbt experience is a plus. • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business insights into persuasive, simple-to-understand analytical narratives. • Ability to structure business problems with minimal supervision and prioritise independently. • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Looker, PowerBI, or Tableau. • Must have the right to work in the UK — visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

• Experience with dbt for data modelling and transformation. • Background working in financial crime, AML, or sanctions screening environments. • Experience building and maintaining dashboards that enable self-serve analytics at scale.

• Expose the vast amount of data available to the organisation in a meaningful, actionable way that people can access without friction or analyst assistance. • Proactively contribute to, own, create, and track key metrics and results, keeping teams accountable throughout the quarter. • Support the team by conducting research, building and maintaining data pipelines, preparing reports, and creating visualisations. • Drive discovery analyses by scoping new opportunities and suggesting initiatives to improve Wise's controls framework and customer experience. • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation and communicate insights effectively to drive real change for customers.
