Solution Architect

• Use your understanding of Engine's technology and architecture to explain the product, uncover client requirements, and support the design of client solutions across both sales and delivery phases. • Lead on technical designs during Engine implementation projects, building relationships with client Engineering leads, Service Owners, and SI partners across Europe. • Help clients maximise Engine's current and future capabilities, shaping the product roadmap and documenting scope and delivery decisions. • Blend deep technical expertise with strong stakeholder communication to bridge engineering and business audiences. • Hybrid role based in London; travel across Europe and occasionally further afield is required.

• Experience of end-to-end software engineering or solution architecture across the full software delivery lifecycle. • Experience with software service design and integration — RESTful APIs, OpenAPI specification, and sequence diagrams. • Experience with cloud infrastructure and large-scale cloud applications. • Experience in a client-facing role, building relationships with a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills, with experience delivering complex messaging to diverse audiences. • Comfortable with national travel to the London office and international travel to client sites.

• Experience in retail or business banking, core banking, card processing, or payments. • Experience delivering and implementing core banking systems or large-scale digital transformation programmes, including application migration and solution integration. • Commercial acumen with experience building business cases. • Experience in a SaaS organisation in a Client Solutions or Client Engineering role. • Knowledge of financial regulations across different markets.

• Become an Engine expert, understanding its architecture, technology, and functionality to communicate its value to technical and non-technical audiences. • Lead on technical designs during Engine implementation phases, working closely with clients and SI partners on the technical detail of integrations. • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to fulfil identified client requirements and shape the Engine product roadmap. • Document scope and roadmap decisions to guide subsequent delivery waves. • Act as technical champion for existing clients, taking ownership of technical aspects of client deliveries and collaborating with SI partners to overcome challenges. • Provide expert guidance to client engineering teams using documentation, API specifications, and sequence diagrams. • Work with the Client Success team to troubleshoot technical issues, translate client needs into requirements, and architect innovative solutions.
