Product Designer (UI/UX)

• Take ownership of design projects and contribute to the expanding product ecosystem across multiple Kagi products. • Solve real user problems through thoughtful interfaces and help shape how everything fits together visually and functionally. • Have direct impact on how all Kagi users experience the products in a hands-on fast-moving role.

• Have 8 or more years of experience in Product Design with a strong portfolio demonstrating deep expertise in creating engaging user-centric web and mobile applications. • Have a proven ability to work independently with minimal oversight while maintaining strong team collaboration. • Be able to frame complex ambiguous problems into actionable design strategies. • Have a strong understanding of accessibility standards and best practices. • Have expertise in design tools such as Figma. • Have experience working and navigating the complexities of a fast-paced environment.

• Have practical day-to-day experience using AI-powered tools to accelerate workflow. • Have experience contributing to and maintaining design systems at scale. • Have experience designing search or information retrieval interfaces. • Have experience designing browser or developer-facing tools.

• Take full ownership of high-level challenges partnering with product leadership to shape new features, deconstructing complex problems, and translating findings into clear actionable design strategies. • Translate design strategies into tangible solutions producing everything from user flows and wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes and final mockups. • Actively contribute to the design system ensuring visual and interaction consistency, scalability, and reusability across the product portfolio. • Present and articulate design decisions clearly to stakeholders at all levels. • Collaborate closely with the engineering team to translate designs into high-quality functional solutions and own the final design review to ensure the shipped product meets the intended user experience.
