• Drive the technical sales cycle from discovery to close across EMEA for GridGain, MariaDB's in-memory computing platform, partnering closely with Account Executives and the global sales organisation.
• Lead discovery sessions, design solution architectures across on-premises, cloud, hybrid, and Kubernetes environments, and deliver tailored product demos covering distributed caching, partitioning, replication, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Plan, manage, and execute complex Proof of Concept engagements with clearly defined success criteria, and support performance testing, troubleshooting, sizing, and configuration tuning.
• Create and maintain reusable sales engineering assets including demos, architectural diagrams, white papers, and RFP/RFI responses.
• Work fully remotely from the UK with travel across EMEA as needed to support sales efforts.
📋 Job Requirements
• Bring a minimum of 5 years of hands-on Sales Engineer experience in enterprise technology.
• Bring direct experience with in-memory data grids or distributed caching platforms such as Apache Ignite, Redis, Hazelcast, Oracle Coherence, or GemFire.
• Bring hands-on experience with an enterprise language such as Java, .NET, or Python, plus web stack technologies, Linux, networking, containers, and Kubernetes.
• Bring a strong understanding of Banking and Financial Services disciplines including payments, risk management, fraud detection, and AML.
• Bring fluency in English; fluency in an additional European language such as Spanish, French, or German is beneficial.
