Product Engineer

• Build one of the most ambitious consumer AI services in the UK as a hands-on technical leader, owning high-leverage areas of the codebase from agentic capabilities to service logic at scale. • Report directly to the CTO and be in the room for key architectural and product decisions — this is an IC role with real influence, not a ticket-completion role. • Work full-stack in TypeScript (Node, React, GraphQL, Prisma) across backend services, frontend UIs, and third-party API integrations, on a stack that also includes AWS, PostgreSQL, Temporal, and Terraform. • Take problems end-to-end from fuzzy user pain through to shipped solution and the numbers that prove it worked, working tightly with Product and Ops throughout. • Work office-first from Farringdon at least three days per week, with flexibility when heads-down focus is needed.

• Bring strong full-stack TypeScript experience, comfortable building robust backend services in Node/GraphQL/Prisma and polished UIs in React or a comparable modern framework. • Show the ability to take a fuzzy problem, slice it into sensible bets, and ship something real in days rather than months — biasing to action and learning from production. • Bring a product mindset: asking what the smallest shippable thing is to learn, caring about UX and copy as much as correctness, and owning problems end-to-end. • Write clean, practical code that others can understand and extend, knowing when to abstract and when to keep it brutally simple to move fast. • Bring the ability to make people around you better — explaining complex ideas clearly, pairing on hard problems, and leaving things clearer than you found them.

• Bring experience applying GenAI in practical, user-facing ways at the bleeding edge of the technology — innovating rather than wrapping existing solutions. • Bring experience orchestrating long-running workflows and building complex, resilient integrations with third-party APIs. • Bring experience working with data pipelines and analytics tooling to surface actionable insights.

• Take the lead on projects within a high-context engineering team, actively contributing to product strategy and wider company goals beyond implementation. • Design and ship agentic flows, internal tooling, and scalable service logic that deliver real outcomes for members and operational efficiency for the team. • Develop across the full stack, building and operating both backend and frontend services including robust integrations with third-party APIs. • Use production logs, dashboards, and user behaviour as the primary feedback loop for deciding what to build and improve next. • Help shape how the engineering team grows, promote best practices, and contribute to a collaborative, low-ego environment where the right outcome matters more than being right.
