Product Engineer

• Take end-to-end ownership of high-leverage engineering work across the stack — from agentic AI flows and third-party API integrations to internal tooling and member-facing features. • Think like a PM as well as an engineer: own problems from fuzzy user pain through to shipped solution and measurable outcomes. • Build and operate both backend and frontend services using TypeScript, Node, React, GraphQL, Prisma, and AWS. • Design and ship agentic capabilities using Nous's in-house AI stack, built on frontier models. • Work with Product and Data to define meaningful metrics and ship experiments that move them. • Report directly to the CTO and contribute to architectural and product decisions — not just implementation.

• Be comfortable working across the stack in modern TypeScript, building robust backend services and polished UIs in React or a similar framework. • Understand data flows and state management in web apps and have felt the pain when they're not designed well. • Write clean, practical code that others can understand and extend — knowing when to abstract and when to keep it simple. • Bias toward action in ambiguity — slice fuzzy problems into sensible bets and ship something real in days, not months. • Treat production as your ultimate feedback loop — use logs, dashboards, and user behaviour to decide what to do next. • Be open, direct, and kind — able to disagree without drama and care more about the right outcome than being right.

• Have experience applying GenAI in practical, user-facing ways at the bleeding edge — not just building LLM wrappers. • Have experience orchestrating long-running workflows and complex integrations with third-party APIs. • Have experience working with data pipelines and analytics tools such as Snowflake, Fivetran, or Amplitude. • Have experience with Temporal for durable workflow orchestration.

• Lead projects within a high-context engineering team with end-to-end ownership. • Contribute actively to product strategy and wider company goals, not just implementation. • Build and operate backend and frontend services including resilient third-party API integrations. • Help shape how the engineering team grows and the technology choices made. • Promote best practices and a collaborative, low-ego environment. • Work tightly with Product and Ops across the full product loop — from insight to shipping to measuring impact.
