About the role

💼 What you will do

• Join the PostHog AI team working on product autonomy, where X should already be built for you before you even ask. • Work on a new team specifically for this purpose, closely with one of the founders. • Leverage PostHog's exceptionally large dataset of over a trillion data points across events, errors, session replays, and revenue data. • Help figure out which areas to prioritize as there are many possibilities for game-changing things to ship.

📋 Job Requirements

• Have either a strong background in maths and be able to code, or have worked on training models previously. • Be proactive, think for yourself, work fast, get product into users' hands, and learn. • Be comfortable working on something that is uncertain and may fail. • Be able to handle fast and intense work in a chaotic environment where technologies and ideas are changing rapidly.

🌟 Nice-to-have

• Have experience with fine-tuning and running models. • Have experience with LLM infrastructure and AI product development. • Have experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) and agent-based systems.

🎯 Responsibilities

• Train, fine-tune, and run models to deepen PostHog's ability to achieve product autonomy. • Help figure out which areas to prioritize among many possibilities for game-changing features. • Work on background agents that can fix bugs, listen to customer feedback, and ship improvements automatically. • Contribute to PostHog AI features including the AI-powered analyst that answers product questions and writes custom SQL queries. • Work on reliability improvements including LLM gateway and fallback providers. • Develop MCP tools and skills for the PostHog ecosystem. • Build enterprise features including HIPAA compliance and regional processing for GDPR/EU.
