Senior Data Platform Engineer

• Join the Data Platform team within Platform Foundations, leading the development of capabilities that support Data teams across Typeform. • Bring technical depth, stakeholder management, and project ownership across multiple delivery streams — from data ingestion and warehousing to AI infrastructure and near real-time services. • Play a key role in AI Enablement, helping deliver infrastructure components like Typeform's in-house OTEL collector, LLM Gateway, and AI Observability integrations. • High-autonomy role — scope, lead, and deliver projects independently while collaborating closely with Data Platform peers. • Fully remote, hireable from the UK, Ireland, Germany, Spain, or the Netherlands.

• Solid experience as a software or data platform engineer, with a background designing and implementing Data, ML, or AI platforms. • Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines. • Experience working with data in big data contexts, including warehousing and pipeline infrastructure. • Strong communication skills with a track record of working cross-domain with data-adjacent teams. • Comfortable working with autonomy in environments where scope and ownership are still evolving.

• Experience with streaming architectures such as Kafka or similar. • Familiarity with ClickHouse or columnar database infrastructure. • Exposure to data governance frameworks or data quality tooling. • Background in a B2B SaaS or product-led company.

• Play a key role in delivering AI infrastructure components, including the in-house OTEL collector, LLM Gateway, and AI Observability Platform integrations. • Contribute to AI and data governance frameworks as Typeform's AI capabilities grow. • Lead and deliver projects across core data infrastructure, including event streaming (Kafka) and data orchestration (Airflow). • Build and maintain near real-time services in Python and GoLang to support Tracking and Marketing needs. • Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and GitOps workflows via GitHub Actions. • Contribute to the scalability, reliability, and governance of data platform components, including storage, columnar databases, and event buses. • Partner with Analytics Engineering, Data Science, Data Engineering, and Product to deliver reliable platform capabilities. • Contribute to shared standards, guidelines, and templates for the Data Platform team.
