📋 Job Requirements
• UK qualified lawyer with 4–7 years PQE.
• Experience in the banking or payments industry.
• Previous law firm or in-house experience focusing on payments, card processing, financial services, banking, or investments.
• Proven aptitude for commercial contract structuring, drafting, and negotiation.
• Strong interest and experience in financial services regulation, including payments, consumer protection, banking, and investments.
• Broad legal knowledge enabling you to spot and resolve regulatory, contract, IP, privacy, and consumer protection issues in upcoming product offerings.
• Ability to distil complexity and communicate practical, risk-based solutions clearly.
• Strong communication, project coordination, and stakeholder management skills.

• Work closely with multiple business teams across the UK and EMEA to advise on financial regulation, consumer protection, payments, banking, marketing standards, and partnerships.
• Partner with the business and global Legal team on new product launches, market expansions, license applications, corporate matters, and commercial agreements.
• Own all aspects of the contract lifecycle with bank partners, online platforms, and enterprise customers.
• Assess and advise on risks specific to API integrations, including country risk, feature launches, and regulatory implications.
• Mentor and upskill business teams and Legal team members, including supervising responses to Legal support queries.
• Review current practices and develop and maintain legal templates.
• Streamline processes and structure tasks related to legal matters in the UK and occasionally EMEA.
• Stay up to date on UK legal developments and advise on future-looking initiatives.
• Support the wider global Legal team with training and workshops.
