What types of legal jobs are available on RemoteCorgi?
You will find a wide range of legal roles: solicitors, paralegals, in-house legal counsel, legal executives (CILEX), compliance officers, contract managers, legal secretaries, and legal advisers.
How can you land a remote legal job?
Attention to detail, strong legal research and drafting, and clear written communication matter most. Familiarity with case and document management systems, such as Clio, iManage, or a firm's own platform, is a real advantage. To practise as a solicitor, you'll now typically qualify through the SQE route: passing the SQE1 and SQE2 assessments and completing two years of qualifying work experience. CILEX is an alternative route to becoming a chartered legal executive. Many paralegal and compliance roles do not require full qualification, so relevant experience alongside a law degree or paralegal certificate can be enough.
Can you get a remote legal job if you are just starting out?
Entry-level remote legal roles exist but are competitive, and fully remote openings are rarer than in tech because some work still involves confidential documents and court deadlines. Most people start out as paralegals, legal assistants, or legal secretaries. A qualifying law degree, a law conversion course for non-law graduates, a paralegal apprenticeship, or CILEX foundation study all help. Volunteering with a law clinic or gaining admin experience at a firm can also get your foot in the door.
