📋 Job Requirements
• Qualified to practice law in a relevant EMEA jurisdiction (e.g. UK or an EU member state).
• 8+ years of in-house experience, primarily at a SaaS or fast-growth tech company.
• Hands-on experience reviewing and negotiating a variety of contracts at a fast-paced technology company, including enterprise SaaS transactions, AI terms, and DPAs.
• Delivers timely, practical advice calibrated to risk, deal structure, and internal policy, framed in a way that's actionable for non-legal stakeholders.
• Experience supporting international or cross-border transactions, ideally within EMEA or other multi-jurisdictional environments.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to make complex legal concepts simple.
• Comfortable in cross-functional, internationally distributed teams and energised by using AI tools to work smarter and faster.

• Knowledge and understanding of Canva and/or SaaS offerings.
• Experience using contracting tools such as Ironclad or DocuSign.

🎯 Responsibilities
• Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements with customers and channel partners.
• Support and evolve Canva's contracting approach across government, higher education, and highly regulated industries.
• Support partner-led and channel transactions, including negotiating flowdown terms with resellers.
• Support international and cross-border transactions across Canva's group companies, navigating local legal and regulatory considerations.
• Respond promptly to legal questions from stakeholders across Sales and Success, Finance, and Deal Desk.
• Keep current on relevant laws and regulations, including data privacy and AI regulations affecting enterprise contracts.
• Contribute to contract templates, playbooks, and escalation guides, and deliver enablement training to GTM stakeholders.
• Identify and help implement improvements to contracting processes, workflows, and tools.
