📋 Job Requirements

• Have proven experience in a communications role ideally at a fintech, financial services company, or a comms or PR agency with relevant clients. • Have a track record of building or meaningfully elevating a brand communications function not just maintaining someone else. • Be an exceptional writer who is clear, compelling, and able to adapt voice to different audiences and channels. • Be strategic and executional, able to develop a plan and see it through. • Be comfortable operating as a one-person function initially with the commercial sense to know when to bring in external support. • Be ambitious and want to build something that makes people take notice.

🎯 Responsibilities

• Define and execute Abound end-to-end communications strategy covering both internal and external audiences. • Build and own the media and PR presence by identifying the right press, agency partners, and spokespeople and securing meaningful coverage. • Source, onboard, and manage external agencies or freelancers needed to scale the function. • Write and edit across all formats including blog posts, press releases, exec communications, and investor updates. • Act as a spokesperson where appropriate and coach internal leaders to communicate with clarity and confidence. • Develop the employer brand narrative to help attract exceptional people. • Build the investor comms playbook ensuring the story lands clearly with current and prospective investors. • Create the internal communications infrastructure including all-hands, newsletters, and leadership updates.
