About the role

💼 What you will do

• Join a backend functional team of 4-5 people that works independently. • Prototype, implement, ship, and support features that are changing the insurance industry. • Work on the core product to digitize risks, relying heavily on Generative AI. • Be part of engineering and product teams distributed across Europe.

📋 Job Requirements

• Have experience with Git and GitHub. • Have experience with Python including msgspec, httpx, pydantic, fastapi, structlog, sqlalchemy, alembic, jinja2, pytest, ruff, and mypy. • Have experience with mypy or other static type checkers. • Have experience with REST APIs and OpenAPI spec documentation. • Have experience with relational databases, specifically Postgres. • Have experience with Docker and docker-compose for packaging and running code locally. • Have experience with AWS Lambda for deploying backend code. • Have experience with AWS S3, RDS, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, and SES. • Have fluent spoken and written English. • Have the permanent right to work in the UK or Ireland without requiring visa sponsorship.

• Have experience with Redis. • Have experience with GCP VertexAI and Gemini. • Have experience with GCP BigQuery for analytics. • Have experience with OCR engines such as AWS Textract, GDocAI, or TesseractOCR. • Have experience with prompt engineering. • Have experience with Kubernetes. • Have experience with CircleCI. • Have experience with DataDog. • Have experience with Auth0 and Role Based Access Control. • Have experience with JsonSchema. • Have experience with Pusher for push notifications. • Have experience with LocalStack for mocking AWS services locally. • Have experience with Terraform.
