Software Engineer (Relocate to the UK)

• Have typically 5 or more years of experience building web apps having designed and implemented features from start to finish full-stack using TypeScript and ideally AWS. • Have spearheaded the engineering of critical systems before working with best-in-class tooling in AWS, IaC, observability, and quality assessments. • Understand what it takes to build highly reliable and well-architected products with quality, observability, and redundancy at the forefront. • Enjoy all aspects of building a product and be comfortable moving across the stack when necessary. • Crave ownership and gravitate towards meatier engineering projects. • Be a team player excited by helping maximise team performance. • Be comfortable when faced with ambiguity and happy to tackle problems without a predefined clear definition.

• Have performed exceptionally at something else in the past whether academics, sport, or work. • Love engineering beyond just a job and have contributed to open-source projects or worked on side projects. • Have experience with AWS serverless technologies such as Lambda, DynamoDB, and EventBridge. • Have experience with Hasura, AWS CDK, or SST.

• Be involved in key product decisions including prioritising the product roadmap, defining project scopes, and technical direction. • Take end-to-end ownership of projects from product, design, and architectural decisions through to deployment, monitoring, and measuring impact on users. • Deploy small incremental changes to production multiple times per day through continuous delivery. • Help scale the product, architecture, and processes efficiently as the customer base grows. • Engage with customers, understand their experience, and iterate products based on their input. • Work across the stack covering everything from DevOps to styling.
