Product Engineer

About the role

💼 What you will do

• Join one of Europe's fastest-growing software companies as a product-minded software engineer, hiring across all levels. • Build high-quality product features and systems using the latest in AI, both as a developer tool and embedded directly into the product. • Own meaningful problem spaces end-to-end with direct impact on customers as the engineering team doubles in size and revenue triples. • Work in an AI-native development environment where engineers use Claude Code and agentic workflows every day to write, review, and ship code faster.

📋 Job Requirements

• Be experienced building web apps, having designed and implemented features from start to finish, full-stack, using TypeScript and ideally AWS serverless. • Be motivated by impact — caring about what your work actually achieves, not just how it's built, and energised by the idea that your code helps some of the world's best businesses run better. • Know what exceptional looks like — understanding what it takes to build highly reliable, well-architected products with best-in-class tooling across AWS, IaC, and observability. • Be ready to get a lot done, comfortable moving across the stack, thinking from first principles, picking up new skills quickly, and shipping. • Crave ownership, gravitating towards the meatiest engineering problems and taking opportunities to own something bigger. • Be a team player excited by maximising team performance, whether learning from others or levelling up those around you. • Be comfortable with ambiguity, tackling problems without predefined solutions.

🌟 Nice-to-have

• Have performed exceptionally at something else, whether academics, sport, or work — going above and beyond the norm. • Love engineering beyond just a job — having contributed to open source or worked on side projects. • Bring experience with Omnea's specific stack: React, Postgres, AWS serverless (Lambda, DynamoDB, EventBridge), Pulumi, and Datadog.

🎯 Responsibilities

• Help shape key product decisions including roadmap prioritisation, project scoping, technical direction, user experience, and implementation strategy. • Own projects from initial idea through design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and iteration, working across the stack. • Deploy small, incremental changes to production multiple times per day, enabling rapid iteration and fast customer feedback loops. • Help scale systems, architecture, and engineering practices while maintaining performance, reliability, and developer velocity. • Collaborate closely with the team to solve difficult problems while taking individual ownership. • Engage directly with customers to understand their problems, gather feedback, and ensure products create genuine value.

About Omnea

📊 Omnea at a glance

🚀 Why Join - Our Take

Omnea is one of the most exciting B2B SaaS companies in Europe right now. In just three years since its founding, it has raised over $75 million from world-class investors, grown revenue 5x in the past year alone, and more than tripled its headcount to 160+ people across London and New York. The company is now the 4th fastest-growing startup in Europe and has 10x'd ARR to double-digit millions in 18 months. What stands out on Glassdoor (4.8/5 from 17 reviews, 100% recommend) is how consistently employees praise the talent density, the pace of learning, and the calibre of colleagues. People describe working alongside ex-founders, former operators from Google, Meta, TikTok, McKinsey, Morgan Stanley, and top startups like Tessian, Pigment, and Pleo. Omnea's careers page states they interviewed more than 10,000 people for their first 50 hires, and the hiring bar remains exceptionally high. The company works in person three days a week (Tuesday to Thursday) in London and New York, which is not for everyone, but reflects their belief that early-stage collaboration benefits from face-to-face time. Equity is structured so every employee has a meaningful stake, and the Senior Software Engineer listing shows salary ranges of £80K–£120K with £25K–£50K in equity. The main thing to be aware of is that this is a genuinely fast-paced environment: multiple Glassdoor reviews note that this is not a 9-to-5, though they add that working alongside exceptional people on a mission that matters makes it worth it. If you want to be part of a category-defining company at one of the most exciting stages of its growth, surrounded by some of the strongest talent in European tech, Omnea is hard to beat.

😃 What Omnea offers

• Receive a salary of £70,000–£185,000 with £20,000–£50,000 in equity, based on levelling during the interview process. • Visa sponsorship available for candidates who need it. • Join one of Europe's fastest-growing startups — 4th fastest growing in Europe and Sunday Times' #1 Best Medium Sized Tech Company to Work For. • Receive competitive geo-localised benefits. • Work with a modern stack: TypeScript, React, Postgres, AWS serverless, Pulumi, Datadog, and AI-native development with Claude Code.

💖 What makes Omnea unique

Omnea is reinventing how enterprise businesses handle procurement with an AI-native platform that connects every person, step, and system. Backed by $75M from Khosla Ventures, Insight Partners, and Accel, the company has 10x'd ARR to double-digit millions in 18 months and is trusted by global enterprises like Spotify, MongoDB, Monzo, and Albertsons.
