Senior Software Engineer I

• Architect, build, test, and deliver new features across the full stack on Runna's Train Team. • Collaborate with modelling and AI engineers to design architecture interfacing between the Runna training engine and the Runna app. • Work with the Product team to identify the most suitable solution for the best customer experience. • Build and maintain developer tooling and CI/CD pipelines to help the team operate more efficiently. • Rotate release responsibilities across the team — you will get the opportunity to lead the process and deploy changes to production. • Work in a hybrid pattern with 3 days per week in Runna's Vauxhall office.

• Be very proficient in TypeScript/JavaScript development. • Have 2+ years of experience in your main expertise area — frontend, backend, or full-stack. • Be skilled in delivering features end-to-end from architecture design through to releasing, testing, and supporting. • Have experience with React Native. • Have experience with AWS. • Be comfortable picking up new technologies and working outside your comfort zone. • Have a full-stack delivery background and experience with cross-functional engineering teams.

• Have experience with native frameworks and tooling such as SwiftUI. • Have experience with deployment, release cycles, or CI/CD. • Have experience with Terraform or other IaC tooling such as CDK or CloudFormation. • Have experience with open source contributions including reporting bugs, testing releases, or contributing code.

• Build and deliver new features across the full stack including mobile, API, and modelling integrations. • Collaborate with modelling and AI engineers on training engine architecture. • Support other engineers on technical matters and contribute to knowledge sharing. • Help build and maintain developer tooling and CI/CD pipelines. • Lead releases to production on a rotating basis. • Contribute to iterative development, pair programming, and shared code ownership.
