Senior Product Manager, Content Lake

• Drive the product strategy for Content Lake — the real-time content database and delivery layer that powers every Sanity product and customer application. • Own the roadmap for the infrastructure behind content authoring, mutation, collaboration, permissions, queries, subscriptions, search, and real-time delivery. • Represent the customer voice across every major platform investment decision, working in close partnership with engineering leadership. • Shape how Content Lake evolves to serve AI consumers alongside human developers and editors. • Based in London, UK with hybrid working (specific in-office days unspecified; role is Hybrid per the listing).

• Proven track record as a Product Manager, ideally with SaaS platform experience; strong adjacent backgrounds in developer tools, infrastructure, or data-oriented products are also considered. • Experienced working closely with technical counterparts and able to partner effectively with senior engineering leaders on architectural tradeoffs. • Comfortable with APIs, query languages, real-time systems, and developer-facing products — able to reason about them fluently. • Working understanding of API and platform design, cross-team coordination, developer experience, and platform reliability. • Strong customer empathy with sharp instincts for when a customer pain signals a platform-level issue. • Able to balance immediate customer needs with long-term architectural investment and make the case for foundational work. • Clear communicator across technical and non-technical audiences.

• Familiarity with Sanity's product ecosystem — Content Lake, GROQ, Studio, or Content Agent. • Experience working on infrastructure or platform teams that serve multiple internal product teams. • Background in headless CMS, content operations, or developer tools.

• Shape the vision and roadmap for the content delivery and operations infrastructure that every Sanity product depends on. • Act as the team's primary synthesis point for customer requirements from developers, editors, agents, and internal product teams — translating needs into clear platform investment opportunities. • Partner with engineering leadership on architectural direction and quarterly planning, ensuring customer needs ground every major decision. • Work closely with teams that build on Content Lake, helping define clean, repeatable, self-serve patterns of platform development. • Own the product definition process for major platform investments, with clear evidence requirements and decision logs. • Bring clarity to deeply technical platform work, making it legible to customers, sales, marketing, and company leadership.
