About the role

💼 What you will do

• Build features end-to-end on the Tripadvisor Experiences iOS app, working across the full engineering lifecycle from design through code, test, deployment, and iteration. • Work within a modular Swift codebase following Clean Architecture with MVVM-C, using Swift, SwiftUI, Combine, and GraphQL. • Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to define feature specifications and deliver high-quality experiences for travellers and operators globally. • Touch code at every level — while the focus is iOS app development, you'll also have opportunities to work on backend microservices. • Work remote-first with periodic in-person gatherings at the London office hub for team connection, planning, and key moments.

📋 Job Requirements

• Bring 2–8 years of commercial software development experience, ideally working with a rich user interface. • Bring experience developing an iOS app and familiarity with mobile web and back-end technologies. • Bring experience with reactive programming in native mobile platforms. • Bring the ability to break down complex problems into simple, elegant solutions. • Bring high-quality verbal and written communication skills and a strong sense of ownership and pride in your work.

🌟 Nice-to-have

• Bring deeper familiarity with Swift, SwiftUI, Combine, and GraphQL in a production environment. • Bring experience working in a modular iOS codebase following SOLID principles and Clean Architecture. • Bring experience releasing mobile features in a continuous deployment or daily release cadence. • Bring exposure to backend microservices development alongside mobile work.

• Write clean, high-quality iOS code as the primary focus of the role, contributing to features that reach millions of travellers. • Take responsibility for all aspects of software engineering across design, implementation, development experience, QA, and maintenance. • Collaborate with Product and Design to define feature specifications and develop high-quality deliverables. • Work alongside engineering groups distributed across Europe and globally. • Contribute to the full iterative cycle: design, code, test, deploy, and improve.
