📋 Job Requirements
• Bring professional experience developing, building, and maintaining web applications, preferably in social or gaming contexts.
• Bring proficiency in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js) and related technologies including Redis.
• Bring experience building scalable RESTful APIs and usable, responsive React frontends.
• Bring experience with operational excellence practices including observability, on-call, incident response, and reliability for production systems.

• Develop, implement, and maintain new features for the VRChat platform and operational team, focusing on safety systems, moderation, and support operations.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers across the stack to translate product and design vision into functional code through informed trade-offs.
• Contribute to all stages of the feature lifecycle from initial concept through to deployment, post-launch iteration, and maintenance.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain a high bar for code quality, architectural integrity, performance, and reliability while spreading knowledge across the team.
• Handle sensitive user data with appropriate privacy and access controls, and collaborate with non-engineering partners in operations, legal, and policy on product trade-offs.
