About the role

💼 What you will do

• Join the team in London as a Senior UI Artist, delivering visually impressive free-to-play gaming experiences for mobile games played by over 300 million people. • Be a key part of defining how players interact with Hutch games, creating sleek, clean, and stylish user interfaces. • Collaborate within small, empowered teams to translate requirements into beautiful user experiences. • Mentor other UI Artists to help level up UI Art across the studio.

📋 Job Requirements

• Demonstrate proven UI Art experience within the games industry, with at least one shipped game title in your portfolio. • Show high-quality visual art and design pieces within your portfolio. • Have excellent logo and iconography design skills. • Demonstrate experience of the design workflow from paper level through wireframes to functioning prototypes. • Show a practical understanding of UX and communication design conventions and how they affect player behaviour. • Have excellent visual design skills including proportion, layout, graphical form, typography, colour, composition, and negative space. • Bring Unity experience with the ability to implement assets. • Be proficient with Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud software. • Have experience with UX prototyping design software such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Flinto. • Show familiarity with AI tools and AI-generated imagery. • Have experience working with third-party IP brand holders and licensing teams.

🌟 Nice-to-have

• Bring experience in VFX, 2D animation, and motion graphics. • Have experience with 3D art software such as 3DS Max, Maya, Blender, or Substance. • Demonstrate experience with rebranding and evolving existing IPs. • Show experience creating ASO, UA, and social assets.

🎯 Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Designers and the Product Owner to prepare excellent UI design, pitching ideas and helping with creative direction. • Collaborate with the Product Owner and Art Director to define an appropriate UI art style. • Create high-quality UI artwork and associated source assets to match the visual style of Hutch games. • Create engaging Live Ops event and campaign designs that can be reused for marketing and ASO. • Create UI wireframe prototypes and design elegant UI/UX layouts including wireframes and user flows. • Work with client engineers to implement well-functioning and bug-free UI within Unity. • Attend regular design meetings and team presentations, contributing to planning and scheduling. • Mentor other UI Artists to help level up UI Art across the studio. • Proactively drive and advance project-level UI/UX design decisions in close collaboration with key stakeholders.
