• Build and deploy impactful machine learning projects with a focus on LLM-based applications in production. • Work on cutting-edge ML systems across Kagi's search, assistant, and browser products. • Collaborate asynchronously and cross-functionally to integrate ML into real user-facing products. • Small, innovative team pushing the boundaries of what search and AI assistants can do. • Fully remote, any location.

• Experience with ML and LLM-based applications using complex multistage pipelines. • Proven track record of building and deploying ML projects to production. • Personal usage and deep intuition for LLM output quality — you can evaluate models subjectively, not just by benchmark. • Proficiency in Python and ML-related libraries: PyTorch, JAX, Hugging Face, or scikit-learn. • Experience with MLOps tools and platforms. • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for machine learning projects. • Strong remote and asynchronous communication and documentation skills.

• Hands-on experience with fine-tuning or evaluating large language models. • Experience building evaluation frameworks or benchmarks for LLM output quality. • Background contributing to or using open-source ML tooling.

• Develop ML models and systems with a focus on LLM-based applications. • Improve current systems based on benchmark results and subjective quality evaluation. • Collaborate asynchronously across teams to integrate ML capabilities into Kagi products. • Stay current with the latest advancements in machine learning and LLM technologies. • Document processes, experiments, and results to ensure reproducibility and knowledge sharing.
