Product Manager - AI

• Own the MCP server, agent skills, and the evals that tell you whether any of it is working at Supabase. • Rethink the PM job when most users are agents — defaults, error messages, breaking changes, naming, deprecations, and docs all behave differently when an AI coding tool sees them before a human does. • Work across the full customer spectrum from indie developers shipping side projects to enterprise teams running agents in production. • Ship fast in a fully remote, async-by-default environment building the backend for 7 million+ registered developers.

• Bring 7+ years of product management experience on developer tools, or an ex-founder background with strong product instincts. • Be technical enough to read an architecture doc, follow a design discussion, and ask the right questions. • Have a clear point of view on what makes infrastructure agent-friendly — use AI coding tools and agent harnesses daily, track what Anthropic, OpenAI, and the AI community ship week to week. • Have shipped something that puts those opinions to the test. • Be biased toward speed, preferring to ship something imperfect and learn rather than spend another sprint refining a spec. • Build with what you own — use the products on your roadmap through the MCP server, CLI, and agent tool configurations to develop opinions through first-hand use. • Use AI tools for research, drafting, and synthesising feedback so more time goes to judgement calls. • Work async by default, making decisions in writing and moving threads forward without meetings.

• Bring experience as a founder or co-founder with depth in developer tools or infrastructure. • Have hands-on experience building or maintaining MCP servers, agent plugins, or AI coding tool integrations. • Demonstrate a track record of defining and running evals for agent-facing developer tooling.

• Apply the agent-first lens to your own roadmap and to product decisions across Supabase — every product decision behaves differently when an AI coding tool sees it before a human does. • Talk to customers across the full spectrum: indie developers, startups choosing an AI stack, and enterprise teams running agents in production, bringing blockers back to the roadmap. • Own the problem statement and requirements behind every agent tooling bet, defining what gets built and why before engineering picks up a spec. • Decide what gets built, deferred, and cut each quarter — choosing between agent plugin requests, MCP improvements, discoverability work, and reliability. • Define how each launch is measured before it ships: developer activation, task completion, and AI eval scores, then track whether it moved after launch. • Keep engineering, design, and leadership aligned across the MCP server, CLI, SDK, and dashboard, surfacing dependencies early and keeping stakeholders pointed in the same direction.
