📋 Job Requirements

• Hold an academic qualification in ecology or biological sciences. • Be a full member of CIEEM, or a Chartered Ecologist or working towards Chartership. • Demonstrate a proven track record in the ecology or planning industry with experience in leadership, team management, pipeline review, and an interest in sales and business development. • Communicate confidently and embody values of honesty, caring, belonging, opportunity, and enjoyment. • Show excellent attention to detail with the ability to analyse data, identify solutions, and review written work to a high standard. • Demonstrate strong understanding of the legislative and planning policy framework relevant to the industry. • Build positive relationships with peers, contacts, and clients with enthusiasm and engagement. • Hold a full UK driving licence.

• Hold Chartered Ecologist status. • Bring experience acting as both Project Manager and Project Director on large or complex ecological projects. • Demonstrate experience collaborating with sales representatives and aligning sales actions to wider business strategy.

🎯 Responsibilities

• Work with the Regional Ecology Director (North) to deliver targets for the Birmingham Ecology team as part of the annual Ecology Strategy and wider business strategy. • Support the Northern Ecology team in analysing operational data including pipeline, opportunities, and sales actions. • Collaborate on HR decision-making, recruitment, and partner (subcontractor) use in liaison with the HR Lead. • Work closely with the central resource coordination team to ensure efficient delivery of workload across the working area. • Partner with Technical Leads to ensure appropriate technical support is in place, identifying strategies to address skills gaps and regional requirements. • Complete the monthly Operations Report for the Birmingham Ecology team. • Collaborate with other office operational leads to problem-solve and support project and pipeline delivery. • Work with regional sales representatives to ensure sales actions align to the wider sales strategy and the team's operational and technical needs. • Provide project support as both Project Manager and Project Director, mentoring and supporting junior project managers on large or complex projects.
