Senior People Generalist

• Serve as the operational backbone of VRChat's People function, acting as a trusted day-to-day partner for managers and a coach for team members across the full employee lifecycle at a 100% remote, globally distributed company. • Own core People Operations end-to-end: onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, compliance documentation, and HR systems, building and maintaining the infrastructure that keeps everything running cleanly. • Own the operational layer of performance cycles, employee engagement surveys, and People analytics — producing insight-led summaries that drive measurable change from employee feedback. • Partner with the Head of People on employee relations, leading standard situations including performance concerns, interpersonal friction, and manager-team dynamics. • Work fully remotely from anywhere in the world.

• Bring 5–7 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist, HRBP, or hybrid HRBP/People Ops role. • Bring sound judgement in employment law and employee relations fundamentals. • Bring strong analytical skills with fluency in spreadsheets and reporting tools, and a strong written communication style comfortable building documentation that scales. • Bring hands-on, day-to-day experience using AI tools in HR work. • Bring experience supporting globally distributed teams across multiple employment models and regions.

• Bring a background in gaming, social platforms, creator economy, or VR/AR — bonus if you understand that the product is the community. • Bring a genuine track record of fostering belonging across a diverse, global workforce. • Bring personal experience in VRChat or curiosity about social VR and what it means for how people connect.

• Be a day-to-day partner for managers across the company on people questions, team dynamics, and coaching needs, and coach managers and team members through tough conversations. • Own core People processes end-to-end including onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, compliance documentation, and HR systems. • Identify and implement workflow automations and AI tools that create real leverage and resolve problems across People functions. • Own employee engagement end-to-end: survey administration, data analysis, and surfacing actionable insights that drive measurable change. • Build and maintain People dashboards and trackers, producing insight-led summaries that help leadership understand what the data actually means.
