Application Security and Performance Consultant

• Provide advisory and hands-on-keyboard implementation services for enterprise customers within Cloudflare’s Professional Services team. • Execute technical solutions to ensure customers maximize value from Layer 7 security and performance products. • Lead post-sales technical delivery, including migrations and complex infrastructure integrations. • Serve as a subject matter expert in WAF, DDoS protection, Bot Management, and API Gateway technologies.

• Possess 5+ years of experience in customer-facing technical roles such as Implementation Engineer or Solutions Architect. • Demonstrate deep knowledge of the OSI model and protocols including TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, and HTTP. • Maintain 3+ years of specific experience with L7 migrations, CDN, WAF, and certificate management. • Exhibit proficiency in scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, or Bash. • Demonstrate working experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, specifically Terraform. • Show the ability to manage technical projects, meet tight deadlines, and prioritize competing demands.

• Fluency in a second regional European language in addition to English. • Proven experience in producing high-level (HLD) and low-level (LLD) design documentation. • Advanced understanding of performance protocols like HTTP/3 and TLSv1.3. • Familiarity with gathering complex business requirements to build custom automation scripts and procedures.

• Plan and deliver organized migration and implementation services for global enterprise customers. • Gather technical requirements and use cases to produce Solution Designs, databuilds, and test plans. • Implement environment changes following customer change management processes and provide CPE configuration guidance. • Troubleshoot implementation issues and collaborate with Engineering for technical escalations. • Build operational assets including templates, automation scripts, and best practice procedures. • Participate in knowledge-sharing activities and contribute to internal and external technical documentation. • Support customers occasionally during weekends for business-critical changes outside standard hours.
